Japan Tokyo Sakura Blog Day II

I'm back for the 2nd day in Japan, Tokyo Shinjuku!
Actually you are really lucky cause I am actually having my summer term break which explains why I'm so free now lol

Okay, so for the second day we woke up 9 am in the morning (1 hour earlier than Singapore time) to head to Tokyo Sealife Park aquarium.

Address: 臨海町6-2-3, Edogawa, Tokyo 130-0021, Japan
葛西臨海水族園

It's definitely one of the best decision we have made in Tokyo because I've absolutely heard nothing of this aquarium wtf because the admission tickets are literally a steal man and you get to interact with those cute japanese penguins and touching stingray and feeling the texture of the sealife creatures there. Admission ticket: 700Yen for Adult (discount only applicable to students/kids studying there)

Meanwhile while strolling the park..... we witnessed this damn chio flowers growing at some ulu area, prettier than cherry blossoms known as Sakura. So this is how the day goes!

In Japan, we made a really expensive mistake to pay for different subway lines. Trust me, when you get there you will be as blur as us because there's JR line, tokyo metro line and etc. You will gasp in horror looking at the map because you won't be able to figure out where to go by looking. Even the locals living in Japan had some problem travelling too lollolll

Took this picture of my super dashing boyfriend navigating his phone with portable 3G deck and his very capable and useful google maps. Trust me you really need a good navigator to go different places especially since we planned the entire trip with minimal transport and more walking (think we walked for 3 to 4km everyday at least?)

BTW JAPAN TAXI DAMN EXPENSIVE OH MY GOOODNESS. I guess one trip to the airport might cost around $100 SGD-$200 depending on the company of the taxi driver. But it will NEVER be affordable cause their taxi faires are known to be the most expensive thing ever in the world.

A quick selfee at the train station together! :-)

CAN YOU RESIST THE MOUTH-WATERY ONIGRI AGAIN???? There's seaweed with soy sauce rice with some salmon, egg wrapped with tomato rice? You definitely won't be able to resist it.

YAY. We reached the station to the aquarium! Wanna know a sad fact!!! :'(

Actually the next station for the subway is Tokyo Disneyland wtf haha I didn't realise it until Day3 we tooked the train back to Shinjuku and to Harjuku and Shibuya. It would so much convenient and minimize the time spend on travelling and we could shop for more japanese products there. Nevertheless, it was definitely a great experience!

Mandatory PDA (Public display affection) haha.

While our way to the aquarium, there's sooooo many pretty flowers!!!! Had to take out my camera and take pictures with all of em!

Okay... so that's the entrance of the Aquarium I had just previously mentioned. It resembles a big transparent globe just beside the ocean out of nowhere. You do have to purchase the admission ticket from the office before entering the place. By the way the place damn cold ok!!! The wind kept blowing but we couldn't do anything since we are near the ocean so sea wind blow we just oklorh

More pictures of the stunning design of the aquarium!!

Notice a person standing there??? Yes, there is where they checked our tickets again, greeted us (see japanese just damn damn polite!) and ushered us down to the basement where we view all the fishes and sea creatures.

    BIG FISH

There's a sad story behind this glass aquarium you see here actually. Before going to the aquarium, I did a little research on their sealife park. They mentioned slightly on the news that there used to be many tunas swimming around the tank but all died from some illness except for one tuna left. Managed to grab hold of the previous picture before all the tunas were here!!

Last time used to have so many tunas swimming now only left 1. So sad.......... sigh.

This is my favourite picture of my boyfriend!!!!!! The fish swimming among the yellow seaweed lol. I think they are just contented as that haha.

Then we proceed on to the touch and feel zone (main highlight of the aquarium must go!) We saw the octopus in the glass box trying to get out. Abit sad it's trapped inside but.... it's a good experience.

My attempt in touching the squashy sea cucumber. At first I thought it's some sponge thrown in the water lol end up it moved and I touched. I asked for permission don't worry!! We were supposed to touch and feel how it's like.

But imagine everyday got some stranger poking or touching your naked body lollol. I will definitely rage HAHAHAHAHA

Where we get to touch real stingrays!!

Look at how cute and happy japanese penguins are. I recalled seeing penguins in glass panel in Singapore zoo. Not cool at all cause the glass were blurred and I prefer seeing how happy they are in Japan!!!! :)

Then we headed to Ueno Park, wanting to see cherry blossoms. But sadly, the trees began to sprout leaves and all the flowers either withered or on the floor. SO SAD BUT ITS OK. Managed to see cherry blossom in the end!!

It was said that this temple is damn old and we spend like 500 yen inside but we couldn't go in, felt really really cheated but it's ok, the money shall be used to preserve such history valued heritage!

I cr8ed when i touched real sakura petals.

Look at how pretty it was.

But quite sad la, cause majority of the flowers are blown by the wind. I think 2 weeks ago was their first full bloom and I heard was damn beautiful. Too bad I'm having my final examinations at that moment.

hehehehhee trying to play with petals!

Then we headed back to shinjuku subway where there's food and more food!! Btw I cant believed I gained 2kg while I was there holiday there. Damn sad but DAMN WORTH IT.

Raining season in Japan rather common. It rained almost either consecutively or 2/3hours later rain again damn sian one.

Curry rice set with the best tasted miso soup.

Their famous banana with hazelnuts and whipcream toppled with strawberries! The best crepe I ever tried, must try when you are in Harujuku street!

LOL. I forced boyfriend take neoprint HAHAH one thing really funny is that, they love to make your eyes big and detect your lips and filled with lipsticks LOL my boyfriend look like a girl now HAHAHHAHA. 400 Yen for one neoprint experience. Damn worth it!! Singapore's neoprint is around $10 at least??? Can't remember when's the last time I actually took neoprint together with anybody.

    Ramen again! Pork soup.

LOL we went back to the same shop at night again cause my dear boyfriend was crazy over their beef bowl rice. But really no doubt the best beef bowl rice I ever ate too.

Toppled with spring onion and the crisp from the sides of the beef tender, with the sauce and rice. Drink it up with miso soup. FABULOUZZZ

Okay bye!! Will be back for day3!

    Life Quotes

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

    Life Quote

Travel makes one modest, you see what a tiny place you occupy in the world. When we get out of the glass bottle of our ego and when we escape like the squirrels in the cage of our personality and get into the forest again, we shall shiver with cold and fright. But things will happen to us so that we don't know ourselves. Cool, unlying life will rush in.
