The magniificant view of Singapore

There's one thing i'm always proud, that is to call Singapore my home.

What a magnificant view to be able to spend with your love one.

It was surely a breathtaking moment for both of us, having to view such magnificant scenery with our bare eyes. So thankful to be alive in this little country having to spend every single moment with my love one. I used to whine about how ugly singapore is, with all the ongoing traffic and constructions with more buildings built but when I arrive on top of the building, i was literally blown away.

Thankfully, I brought my baby DSLR D500 out for photoshoot whenever we are out for special occasions like this. Thank god for my photogenic boyfriend for suggesting to put my camera on top of the ledge. It wasn't an easy task, have to constantly check out on the quality, the angle and whether we are smiling to the camera. Worth it, worth every shot taken.

Dear decided to carry me up and we had some really fun time together. It was honestly damn scary to look down whenever he carry me up. Just one slip and I'll fall right down the building. The whole shoot I was shaking with fear... and maintain my composure for all the pictures. Please note that the pictures don't do justice to the real actual view. Singapore is such a beautiful country.

Tadah! Our final picture which we are super proud of. This week was really busy, pardon for the lack of updates. And I'm pretty impressed with the blog hits! Seems like it's going up steadily as before. Maybe it's time to post more of such thoughts in my blog.

Just a quick update, I actually got accepted to both  prestigeous Australia universities! University of Queensland and University of Melbourne. SMU called me up for a interview on monday for Information Systems, praying hard that it wouldn't be tough and the modules in the degree wouldn't kill me- for I have more passion in .Net and Business. God is really too good to me, and praying hard that everything will be as smooth as always.

Keeping everyone in prayers and will blog soon xx

Oh to be like you.

I stepped into church for almost 4 years, since i was saved on that faithful, christmas day. But, I'm truly am ashamed to be a christian as I never regard God as first. It was never my piority to attend church services regularly especially on saturday night, where my cell group is supposingly attend every week.

I confessed the reasons why.

Saturday nights are always the best part.
On saturdays, there will be never ending fun. Why should I attend service? There's friend's gathering, random catch ups to be done because that's the only day where majority of the part-timers, full-time NSF soldiers are free. It was the day where I always have to battle between going service or spending the full day with my boyfriend/friends. It was honestly a difficult decision because I would want to go for both. Both my past boyfriends are not christians and my current one is having his service on sunday so it's a little difficult to ask them along with me.

But..God forgives me all the time. I gave all excuses but still, he's always there when i need the most. I always pray for a little miracle, but he gave me more than i required. i don't deserve any single bit from him, yet he's always so merciful and his love is undoubt. Should have already rise up as a youth leader since i'm in church for so long, but i wasn't discipline and ready for any call.. not even boldness to join SOT (School of theology) and immerse in the world of god.

I dread about the long services and the worship lessons
I always attend services because there's fellowship and fun was all I craved of. We used to always go for late night movies, suppers and walking around marina bay sands and watch the sky lights. It used to be never on my decision to just pray and worship but because of the activities after service. I never once took out the bible because I believing in reading from the screen and remembering it. All the verses, the notes I've typed in my Ipod/Iphone are all cleared because I restarted my devices due to lagginess. It was a pity because it contains great lessons about bible and the teachings. Worship period is always so so so long, we'll sing hillsong songs especially chorus again and again.

Whenever i felt so down, I really appreciate long services so so much. All the worship songs miraculously start to heal my broken heart, be it disappointment, sadness or anger.I remember vividly i used to attend service in tears, frustration but when i started to sing, I felt so comforting. It's as though I had a contact with god. 1 Peter 5:7 "cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you".God loves you.

I dislike routines
I really dislike when my cell group leader text me and called me repeatedly when I don't turn up for service. I don't like it when they asked the reasons it is as though, i'm obliged to attend. I don't like when I have to come up with a valid reason not to go church especially when my best friend is on fire for god..... it's like it a must to schedule my saturday every week and nothing else. They always say if you don't attend, you'll eventually backslide from church which I felt damn pressurised about. I don't want to backslide, neither do i want to stuck with the routine of attending frequently. "I have a life to live for, especially i'm young"

They are the ones to pick you up when you're hurt, asked if you are alright or simply just catch up to see how are you doing. Hardly anyone does that, not even some friends who you've known for many years. Everybody just so caught with work, studies that they forget to drop a text to ask how are you doing. Was feeling so upset today tearing on the bed but best friend's text " good morning!! time to wake up for service" brought me a smile. Honestly, it wasn't the work of god, we wouldn't be best friends of 12 years. She was the one who brought me to church, brought me a group of amazing friends in church and became my best buddies ever since. I have to confessed that Sec 4 was my lowest period where my good friends and I sort of fell out in the clique.

Praying in tongues for long sometimes still scares me
I have seen people yelling loudly and people just mumbling to follow what the majority does. Honestly I was just pretending i'm praying in tongues all along until one day i began to speak eloquently. It scares me and so happy at the same time because I finally received the holy spirit but i've no idea what I'm talking about. How can i even get such a great gift from god when i don't even attend services frequently?

However with this gift, I was able to pray for the sick, able to pray for a better day, better future and for everything that is smooth till now. With my grades, I wasn't even supposed to skip usual poly structure semester, but yet with god grace he arranged me to be in such good environment to work in, great place to know a bunch of really nice colleagues (in fact the best place i ever been in). It was just a simple tongue prayer in the night to make my internship smooth, yet he made it come true. All for me...

I don't know what good do I deserve from god everytime with such horrible thoughts I had about going to church. What I want to tell is that, god is good. All the time. Felt so touched by today's service that my tears just trickled down uncontrollably. So blessed that we have pastor who does missionary at the age of 24 and even blesser to know that with 20 dollars in his pocket, he changed the world revolution of christ starting from philipines. People will never understand why we're so fire for the church, for the god because they never once truly sat for any of our services. It's always so amazing that no words can describe, especially today's. Really hope to start attending services frequently and inviting more new friends for this great church, for a great god. Easter is coming!!

Before i end this off, just want to share this amazing song by hillsong that we sang earlier on.

Thank you god for everything. :)

What's that one thing?

Recently, I get kinda disappointed that my viewership for this blog isn't going up like it was supposed to be all the time. Sometimes to be truthful, I am still battling between myself to blog to drive traffic view for advertisements or just penning down my little thoughts into my "diary". Occasionally, I might be tempted to read those older entries in this blog but my past should really just remain as it is. I get reminded every time that people still come and go- and it's inevitable.

No idea when I started indulging in Bens and Jerry tub ice cream until... one day I was tempted to try BJ new york cheesecake. It's filled with goodness and I can't even describe the feeling of blessed. Though it's temporary, but it's sufficient to make me happy for awhile. Sigh. This week hasn't be really good. Was down with severe sore throat and was coughing throughout the night badly. Having sleepless nights with constant nightmares to dealt with. I get so worried all the time for my future, like when will I ultimately end up in, where and what my career will be.

Bought Chunky Monkey that day to try out. Banana vanilla filled with walnut and chocolate bites. Just sat that alone eating the ice cream while surfing the internet on my tablet. I miss the noise, the laughter we used to have as a family. Now half of the time I'm alone at home or outside settling my own dinner. Guess we are all growing up and very soon.... I'll get married (hopefully) and brother moving out after finding his life partner.

Hope to really remain that smile even after years down the road. Received bad news yesterday that dear wouldn't be able to attend my graduation ceremony because he's liable for national service. It's with great sadness that I can't share my happiness and excitement with the person I love...... but i guess every NSF guy calls for a supportive girlfriend. Without doubt, it will be hard to accept the truth, but i guess it will be tougher not to spend one whole month together. Prom dance got cancelled as well..... not sure to be disappointed at the lack of enthusiasm in our cohort but it's okay there's still other opportunities as well. Officially graduated with a not-so-bad GPA, but not good enough for me to feel secure over my place in university. Just hoping and keep praying for the best and may god favors me (again) for everything.

Happy bens and jerry day!!!!!! Supposed to be yesterday haha.

Travel Blog: Impromptu trip to Sunway Lagoon part 2

Continue.

Feeling really sickish after I came back from Kular Lumpur. Guess I am really not used to the sudden weather change climate where there's abundance of sun and sudden rain in the afternoon. So in the previous post, I mentioned that we brought SGD 250 out for this trip but soon we realise that it won't be sufficient for us because.....
we only pre-booked the hotel but not full amount payment to them.

Felt really anxious because we brought just nice amount there and was expecting to enjoy the rides, the food! With this bad news, we can't afford to have any nice meals, nice activities (was planning to watch movie, play laser tag, ice skating etc) However, dear really wanted us to enjoy this trip so we went ahead and splurge our money on this.

                      SHOUGAN and SAISAKI Japanese Restaurant

Sunway Pyramid Petaling Jaya, Selangor Malaysia
Per person price during weekday: $26 SGD (Singapore would cost 60SGD++)

Wow this place is truly heaven for all buffet lovers who wish to taste every variety of food possible. I was truly amazed by their wide variety of selection of sushi, cakes, fruits, western & chinese food and not forgetting their desserts as well!! They are really kind to let us take photographs of their food and even stand by the side waiting for our orders.

Just look at how appetizing these fruits are!!! So much variety ranging from rock melon, water melon, oranges beautifully displayed waiting for customers to take.

Their soup of the day range from Tom Yum Seafood, seaweed soup, kimchi soup, ox tail soup, mushroom soup, Buddha jump over the wall, miso soup and more. Whatever you name it, you have it. Too crazy to even cook so much soup!!!

Seafood pasta on the left, mushroom broccoli with toufu on the right.

Must try chili crab!!!

Their scallops corner. Mussels with cheese, grilled prawn with garlic, plain oyster, chili clams.

There's this tappanyaki corner with all sorts of vegetables like mushroom, dou miao, beansprouts for you to put toppings with salmon, beef, chicken. The chef was really nice cooking for us and oh my!! It taste damn damn good. The combination of garlic mixed with cooking oil and the right amount of vegetables and meat surely make you drool haha.

The rest selection of the food. Notice that the entire aisle is FOOD.

Sweet lamb with some black sauce (?) which we personally didn't try... too much variety.

Yummy yummy seafood cream pasta!!

There here you go, there are lots of variety you can choose to request the chef to cook for you for teppanyaki!

Took Asam Laska, bit of seafood pasta, some slice of smoked duck, salmon and some variety of sushi. Finished all of them in less than 10 minutes. Heavenly!!!!

Walked to the dim sum corner and ordered SiewMai for my dim sum!! Isn't it amazing that the buffet even include dim sum???? I can't even express my excitement over how cheap the buffet and how good it is!!

After we finished our buffet, we took a cab back to our hotel and rest for the night. Was really intending not to sleep for the night but I guessed I was too exhausted. Forgot to mention that the hotel TV shows are blockbuster movies, drama series from fox! Previous night was showing Walking Dead Season 2 while that night was showing The Wizard and the oz movie. It was tooooo comfy and comfortable for a stay in budget boutique hotel.

Day 3
Checked out at 1pm to Berjaya Times Square for some shopping! Was already feeling very weak and uncomfortable since I haven't been resting well plus the bad weather back at Sunway lagoon. Anyway Grid9 Hotel really have nice facilities like, IPAD, Samsung Tablet to use and there's a desktop to use. Absolutely free wifi to borrow their internet connection.

Small pool table to chill and area to watch movie with all of the bean bags! (Free of charge)

Was about to leave the hotel and was feeling a little sad. Beautiful isn't it!!!!! Brand new hotel.

Having to say goodbye to our hotel and on our way to shopping before departing to Singapore.

Before we left we were approached by a tourist that asked us for some money for him to have his lunch and breakfast till he's able to fly back to his own country. Both of us are feeling really sympathetic for him so we gave him RM20.... hopefully he's not a con man. But I guessed, kindness will definitely go a long way because something happened to us after that HAHA

ok back to the day.... we went to travel to Berjaya Time Square by their MRT.

Had some yum tako balls (RM$7.90) cheese with sweet prawn inside. Feeling real happy cause I'm really famished from everything.

By then was already 4pm plus and we are on our way back home! Dear bought banana crepes with Nutella chocolate but i couldn't eat them cause i was seriously having a pretty bad sorethroat. Resist resist temptation.

yum yum yum

Here comes the exciting part:

By then we on our way to bus terminal to take our coach back to Singapore, we pretty spend all our money left for the departure coach and the hotel. Booked 5.50pm coached back and guess what....

WE MISSED THE BUS BACK AND LEFT WITH NO MORE MONEY!!!!!!!!!
Really quite crazy cause we literally broke and in malaysia, they are unable to proceed with mastercard transaction from dear's card. We literally just stone there thinking what should we do next.
FYI- Was suppose to go back to Microsoft and work next day but couldn't make it anymore.... by the way the bus driver drove the bus in front of dear's eyes while I was in the toilet about to come out.
Damn crazy i swear.
ok lor. Then no choice have to call my mom's cousin in KL for real help. Really thank god that my uncle managed to help us buy a ticket back to Singapore and brought us home for one more night. It was the best best April Fool's day cause I was initially in disbelief when dear told me the truth. FYI again- He always lie for awhile and then laugh it off telling me the truth :(

So i guess..... Day 4

Had a taste of their local delicacies and nice fatty satay! Was unable to take some pictures cause the place too dark lollol

Biggest sugarcane i ever drank.

My claypot mee tai mak!!!!!!! Overall it's really a great experience to travel to KL ourselves and had no money left home haha. Feeling really bad for imposing my mom's cousin so i volunteered to bring them around when they are in Singapore for a short vacation. Feel like dying cause i'm still terribly sick while typing the post but i did it!!! Thanks for reading, appreciate it :)

Back to bed....

Travel Entry: Impromptu trip to Sunway Lagoon Part 1

Day 0

Was planning to go for a short gateway before everything settles down in Taiwan for Brian. We were discussing the possibilities of going with tours with groupon (booked it for last bintan trip), short trip to Hong kong to look for his family and etc. We both have very outgoing personality and cool parents thus, they are totally fine with the idea of us travelling together. We did some quick cost breakdown analysis and decided that we should go Kular Lumpur this time, mainly for the food and sunway lagoon! This is what we calculated: (In SGD)

Bus ride:                           SIN- KL  by Qista                $23/person
KL-SIN   by  Korsotium       $19/Person (because it's in ringt)
Hotel Rooms                                    by Grid 9 Hotel     $50/Night
Sunway Lagoon tickets                                                   $38 (RM 98, Normal Price: RM 120)
Allowance                                                                        $250

Day 1
Rushed from our homes to little India to board our bus, Qista. Dear was still caught up with university application while i'm at home resting before the trip. Really praise the lord that we managed to board the bus because we're 10 minutes late! They are really really kind to call us before they left for woodlands checkpoint. Mega big seats to ourselves with massage buttons. Fell asleep after watching a horror movie and there was a mega jam from Malacca to KL.

By then i was so terribly famished + tired from the long coach rides but thank god dear is with me throughout with his jokes and stories. Sometimes I wonder how did i actually found such a cute guy that loves me so much :')

Reached Grid 9 hotel at around 1am in the morning and all the eateries, shops are closed for the day. Luckily for us, there's still a Indian restaurant available for us selling fried mee goreng and rice. And oh! the hotel is fabulous for a budget price of $50.

(Pardon for the messy hotel images cause we took it after we stayed for 2 days haha)

Day 2
Woke up around 9am for our sunway lagoon trip! Feeling super excited and kanchiong for all the thrilling rides so we decided to wake up early to beat the queue at the theme park. Before taking our taxi down, we had our breakfast near our hotel. It was a simple meal, mee tai mak with soup while dear ate dry beehoon with soup. RM5 for both bowls of delicious food!!

Dried beehoon + wanton in the soup.

Dear posting for the camera.

My all time favourite childhood noodles!!!!!! Used to eat it often when I'm sick...

There's this rundown house that we saw earlier while having our breakfast. Decided to explore a little and realised that the dogs are actually resting in the house now. They barked at us furiously while we attempt to take some pictures.

So why did we choose to go Sunway lagoon?

Was randomly googling Malaysia for their outdoor theme parks since i couldn't think anything else besides the closed for renovation and building of the new Genting Theme Park. They gonna build the park based on movie themes, like Night at Musuem and so forth. I recalled mom mentioning something on Sunway lagoon and i think it'll be great for us to go since the park consist of 5 themes- Scream Park, Amusement Park, Wildlife Park, Water Park and Extreme Park.

There's this sunway pyramid aka the vivo city, featuring shops like Chanel, H&M, Gucci and all the branded stores. There's also ice skating rink which is flooded with people trying to ice skate around. If i'm not wrong, the admission ticket is RM 14 per hour. Quite worth it to play considering singapore prices.

Majestic building with two golden horses.

A quick overview is that Scream Park is kinda annoying fun because there are ghosts randomly scare you from the side doors or fake walls. However bad side is that their short horror clips make no sense at all. Totally no sense. It's like I was trying to figure out what are they showing and suddenly there's a real ghost pop out from the fake screen giving us a shock out of my life.... then i'm like -_-

Amusement Park was really great because there is absolutely no queue at all!!! Took 5-10minutes to queue for each ride and there are plenty of rides that doesn't even require to queue. Felt really proud for sitting 360 degree pirate ship, the Inverter (360 degree flip in the mid-air with my belt not tight enough) and the lost world of gold roller coaster. Pretty small place but good enough for the price.

Pirate ship 360degree!!!!!!! Was pleading so hard my dear boyfriend not to go but eventually i went. Felt like dying when the entire thing started.

of course, i couldn't climb up without the help of my strong boyfriend :')

Really nice photo of us.

Went in to WorldWar Z screem horrorwood featuring bratt pitt with the kids running around escaping from infectious zombie. Remember the movie? It was not too bad for a scare.

What I really love about Sunway Lagoon is that they also include Wildlife Park! Suitable for adults and children that love animals because you get to see them live close! Can't believe i'm just 1m away from the black bear and many other animals like black jaguar.

Have i mentioned that birds, parrots are free to roam in the park as well?? Wow! Really amazed how close i get to see them.

Highlight of the wildlife park: Pet Village. Was so freaking happy cause the goats so cute! There's this white goat that refuses to leave us even after we left the place.

Look at how cuddly those goats are!!!!

Haha dear was saying: "hey the black one is me, while the white one is you" So true my dear :)

It's petting time!!!!!!!! Fed my rabbits with vegetables and pet them while they eat them. So freaking cute i can't even breathe. Too many bunnies running around freely too and there are gigantic tortoises below the cages.

nom nom nom nom.

There's guinea pig too! However DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CARRY THEM OR THEY'LL SQUEAK LOUDLY.

Notice my pants are changed to beach wear??? we went to water theme park too!!! It's amazing.

We sat the world's first water 5D ride!!!!!! Waterplex. Honestly it was so so damn good that all of the audiences clapped and rejoice.

It's the stimulation of water ride with water effects spraying as the chair moves. Damn exciting and totally worth it. Love the combination of the effects, water and the colors from the screen and the projectors.

For the Extreme Park, there's the suspension bridge that link to another end of Sunway lagoon. It includes Bungee jumping, flying fox with a fee of RM 60. Overall for the last park, it was mainly pay for a ride kind and we didn't really play all of them. There's paint ball and archery inside the park though! It's free of charge for all.

Feeling so worried that my camera will drop. HAHAHAHA

Heartshape for everyone. Will continue my part 2 post tomorrow. Overall it's really affordable to play at Sunway Lagoon for the price of $38, 5 Amusement parks. Do book your tickets online, especially on busonlineticket.com cause I've saved $22 from buying the tickets at the park. Original price RM 120. Thank you guys for reading, look out for part 2!!!!!!

Still can't believe we almost couldn't make it back to Singapore cause our bus left on the last day and we are left with no cash. Haha. Ciao!

Life Quotes

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

Life Quote

Travel makes one modest, you see what a tiny place you occupy in the world. When we get out of the glass bottle of our ego and when we escape like the squirrels in the cage of our personality and get into the forest again, we shall shiver with cold and fright. But things will happen to us so that we don't know ourselves. Cool, unlying life will rush in.
