We spend less than $400 on Japan Trip!

(Note: The amount above includes accommodation but excludes spending expenses)

Hello there! I am finally back from Japan. Going to Japan has always been on my bucket list because the people there are really really friendly, nicest food on earth, flowers and especially spring where you get to see sakura blooming! We were really fortunate because one day before our flight departure, I was told that all the sakura flowers were destroyed by the big rain, and there.. barely anything left. But then, we managed to see them!!!!

So you might be wondering how come we spend less than $400 to Japan where a normal flight ticket cost approximately 1k plus??? That's because, we flew by flyscoot, a budget subsidiary of Singapore Airline. I happened to chance upon this great deal! 289 (two way ticket to japan) with their code mobile30 which gave us 30% discount and another 30% discount off (?) if you used mobile to book the tickets.

You've to be really really quick cause many people are dying to book them. One quick tip is, join as many airline newsletter and wait for their promotion mail such as morning glory, tiger SG50 sale especially since this year we are celebrating Singapore's 50th aniversary right??? I know we should stay in singapore... but we should just pamper ourselves abit lah haha.

The airbnb was also awesome!! We booked $300 for 4 nights and stayed in Shinjuku, one of the more bustling and happening streets in Tokyo, Japan. The owners were really nice, providing us with shampoos, large towels and portable wifi for us to use while in Japan. Totally no need to buy simcard at all!! Here's a peep at how our apartment look like.

So back to the flying, we took scoot!! Took the window seat because there's a lovely surprise when we were flying back from Japan! Wink*
When we touched down at Narita Airport, we were greeted by all the different flavours of onigri! Words can't express how happy I am because I love to eat them!! Majority of the onigri cost around 120 Yen, which is around 1.70 per piece and trust me, it will the nicest thing you ever ate. (maybe cause I was really too hungry at that time haha)
This got to be my favourite.  The meat is smooth and tender with the sticky rice, and a little japanese mayonnaise inside. I died inside and now, I'm still craving over the meat patty onigri.
Then we proceed to the ticket counter to buy subway tickets to Shinjuku! But we were quite lucky I supposed. The train had some technical difficulty so they refunded us our ticket prices and we had to take airport bus limousine LOL ok it isn't that limousine you expect, but it's quite decent enough.
One thing I love love about Japan the most is that, they are really quick with their food service and making sure you've ample water, chilli powder, salt, vinegar on each individual table. They are really cute with their invention too! Using coin machines to select your meal and pass the ticket to collect your bowl afterwards. We had a really good time selecting and choosing what to eat, because all of them look so damn delicious T.T

Dear selected curry rice with pork cutlet with rice while I took beef bowl with mix salmon and soup! It was really really delicious :(

And here is our apartment!!!!! Tadaaaaaaaa. What a quiet and neighbourhood view of Japan every morning when we woke up from our beds. The temperature there is around 18 degree to 23 degree, so it gets a little chilling in the middle of the night.
WHATS JAPAN WITHOUT THOSE BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS??????
Actually I can't believe those flowers are grown by Japanese. The flowers I grew usually die like 1 or 2 days later lol. So envious to the maxxxxx

Then we headed out to explore shinjuku and just chill, walk around and had some bite. Spot those vending machine!! They have different kind of drinks ranging from mineral water, green tea, peach tea for around sgd 1 dollar plus?

And I kinda realise Japanese cats are quite chubby and fat hahahaha

Around 5plus we got quite hungry and went to explore more food and more food. It's quite unbelievable that I've gained 2kg when I'm there because the food is really way too good.

Their cakes look really pretty....... but if I remember it's quite costy too!!

The legendary bowl of beef charcoaled with the crispy crips of the edge, and the sauce in the bowl is filled with goodness. This is the bowl that my boyfriend rushed and keep finding again and again to eat it. it's heavenly delicious, I couldn't remember my expression when I ate it but my boyfriend said it was so priceless haha.
The ramen which tasted okay.... surprisingly there's alot of this franchise shop in Japan! We both prefer the beef bowl though.

Curry Udon taste with goodness and silky udon noodles!!!! I love Japan Japan. Will post on day2/day3/day4. If you've any questions regarding Japan, feel free to ask on the side bar ;)
