Snip Avenue Hightlight and Haircut Review

So yesterday, I went back to Hougang branch for haircut with dye. It was my birthday month, and therefore I was entitled with 40% birthday discount. However prior to the visit, I googled about the location of their best outlet and some blog reviews regarding their haircut services. I was damn horrified to see so many bad reviews about it.

Just to clarify, I am not sponsored to post anything.

It was my second visit, with first being to perm my curls and dip dye my hair in purple. The perms took exactly three hours and they were kind to have their outlet operation hours extended till 9 pm for me. I guess if they were just as bad as what the reviews claimed, they will just rush it, no? The fact they still did my hair professionally, I guess they still deserve some sort of nice review from me.

But then again, what you pay is often what you get. You can't really expect to have superstar's haircut when you only paid $3.80. Furthermore, there are so many people queuing up for their haircut service. Okay, I don't deny most of the sales promoters were from either Malaysia or china and they were honestly persistent in making their sales. So there's is this lady who kept telling me that my hair is dry and if I require some sort of hair treatment which I kindly smile and deny again and again.

Then they begin to change their tactic to selling me some hair product that would make my hair smooth and shiny and conspired together. It is damn funny cause I didn't hear the brand before and the small bottle cost $10 LOL.

Thing is if you do some hair treatment/hair highlight or perming, you are entitled to their "priority queue" They will serve you first and offer you magazines. If I remembered wrongly, the previous visit I was offered tea, which is quite shiok la. Okay so this time, I paid $42.50 for hair cut ($3.80) and some highlighting inclusive of wash (she massaged my hair scalp) and blew my hair. I must say she is really professional just that she kinda messed up my poor fridge for cutting too short. However, I was quite pleased with the result!! In the past, the highlight colour they used by Loreal for dip dye purple strands is still around. After like what it seems for, 6 months? And it's cheap. Sometimes, it is really about who's the hairdresser and their level of commitment. The whole time I was observing the auntie beside me cutting ahma's hair, ahgong hair and a kid's hair. Her service not too bad la.

So my hairdresser twirled my hair and blew it nicely. I was quite pleased leh

It was really the standard of a good salon with my hair curled nicely and of appropriate length. She was the one who told me to cut this length and initiated to twirl my hair like that. I used to cut my hair for $10 at QB house at Velocity and I cried afterwards LOL

First because she messed up my fringe then she messed the entire layering behind. It was so bad cause I can see the "bushes" at the tail end. Damn angry but what to do? Lesson learnt. Never go for quick cut for girl's hairstyle. Remember that girls.

Generally you will be quite safe I assure you. Don't believe so much of the blog reviews if you're on the budget. I think mine is really cheap, considering how much I paid for their services. Hope this help! For whoever that asked about my hair on Instagram :)
