When you first lose someone, the pain is so excruciating and unbearable, it feels like you’re going to be consumed by your own hurt. You cry at every detail which reminds you of the person. But it doesn’t ends here. The pain worsens, your life dulls, no colours remain. There’s no more meaning to your life, the one that brought colours and meaning to it has left. Little did you know, you’ve sunk into a slight depression.

As the days pass, your pain lessens just slightly. You wake up to a horrible morning, but things get better. Instead of feeling pain, you’ve come to experience it in a new way. Instead of bawling your eyes out, you now sit quietly and reminiscence the times you had together. Instead of sulking, you now smile to the memories you’ve created. And instead of feeling pain, you now see some colours in your life.

Pain comes and goes. It’s like falling and having a cut. Although it heals, it leaves a scar. Yes. But don’t you forget how many times you forget your scar is there until you see it. You forget your pain, only until you remember it. So don’t sulk forever. You’ll smile from your heart one day.

Don’t forget this: Even if you have lost someone physically, you know they will always remain in your heart.
