Travel blog: Batam Trip 2D1N

Talking about Batam trip was one of the most fufilling and fun experience. I had the opportunity to go overseas with my clique, Fungi Kimchi group again! (yay). We booked our tickets from deals.com.sg and paid $37 for two-way ferry tickets, 4 star hotel+ breakfast, tour around Batam with tour guide included and super kan chiong itinery to EVERYWHERE in 30minutes or less.

So the picture was taken on the ferry on our way to Batam. Batam and Singapore is like 1 hour ferry ride apart and on our way there, there's like stretch of Sentosa cove apartment on our side with their private yatchts. The ferry ride was really comfortable because prior to this trip, i was really dead exhausted for the night.

Although i was tired, i managed to enjoy the trip really really much. Had so much fun although they keep teasing me and Mr. C. Was appointed the group leader for the trip by Zan and was terribly disturbed by them. Tour guide kept calling my name for group's strength and massage, go-kart and all for my permission. However, i was really thankful that the weather in Batam is really great and thank goodness it didn't rain that day.

Kept taking picture with eddile before i fell asleep on the ferry.......

Then when we reached the coach, we started taking pictures with our shades where we barely wore them. Went to different locations, but they brought us to kuay Lapis house first. It's really quite a place for tourists as the cakes are really expensive. Like $32 per box kind for Jackfood kuay lapis and normal $24 for original. WHAAAAAAT ON EARTH IS THIS :(

Take 2 picture. Was feeling a little hot and then we shifted to sit somewhere else.

And then in afternoon we had seafood lunch together. The seafood lunch was bad because all the seafood was not fresh at all. The fish tasted like dead fish, the clams are not fully opened but the prawn, sotong was fairly good. Went to walk around the restaurant after dinner and to our horror, all the fishes they kept are all either half alive or DEAD.

Pls don't tell me we ate all the dead fish. FML.

Showing the thumb sign cause i can. All of them are saying that Baarath is my guard for Batam trip haha.

Then afterwards we all signed up for go-kart!!!!! It was really fun cause we get to zoom around like F1- racers. Honestly i'm such a loser because what everyone does is to speed around the circuit and i kept obeying the traffic rules. AAAAAAAAH. By the time i realise i can step fully on my accelerator and just speed, everyone is in their 2nd/3rd lap.

That's me!

That's zan.

That's ken!

Me again hahaaaaa.

Rest of the journey all shopping and more shopping. All the shops sell lots of Ralph Lauren polo shirts at incredible prices. $50-80 for one? Singapore probably sell $120+++ Bought Satay on our way back from the shopping centres and I witnessed a really sad scene.

A boy was dashing across the road with a violin to beg for money. No one did stop the car to give some spare cash for the boy... I can never forget the boy's eyes but on second thought, i might just be kidnapped if it's a scam or something.

Yum yum satay feast in the hotel. $6 per 30pc with rices.

Using my phone and camwhore haaaaaaaa.

So we decided to have a small christmas gift exchange with one another. Exchanged a starbucks mug with my speakers that Baarath took. it was simple yet exciting exchange this year! My christmas is really really great.

Drank Apple soda not alcohol.

YAAAAYYYY CHEEERSS TO OUR NEVERENDING FRIENDSHIP.

We bought lots of drinks and Indonesia Mee goreng home. The whole box (40pack) of Indo Mee cost $6 Sing and the drinks cost around $3. In Batam everything is affordable but it's really dangerous to travel there especially crossing their roads. It's like all their traffic lights are spoilt and not fixed.
.....

on side note, i found a magnificiant place where i can view the entire Batam city view. HAHAAA GONAA GO THERE SOON.

Baarath bought lightsticks for us to play.

Didn't really get to enjoy all the facilities as we are supposed to book out at 11am the next day. So we woke up around 9am batam time and went for their breakfast. I must say that their breakfast is really good!! There's this chef that cook really nice egg omelette for the hotel guests. Everyone was queuing patiently for the egg only haha. By the way, we stayed in Goodway hotel under deals package.

That hotel is really accessible as 10-15 minutes walk away there's this really big shopping centre.

yum yum yum, porridge.

Take 1

Take 2

Went to some high class cafe and ate fish and chip. It was really disappointing but there's free WIFI!!! HAAHAHA that alone the best.

Went to the ferry centre at around 1pm and started looking for last minute gifts for my friends. Thank god there's this uncle who does craftship for keychain!!! $2 per customised keychain. Sounds like a good bargain right?

Lucky us got the VIP area to enjoy the really great breeze and singing titanic together LOL. Less than 1hr and we reached Singapore. Nevertheless, it's a really great trip!

Haha ok bye. Look forward to next Batam trip in future. :D
