Coming back from Beijing (And the few last updates!)

------------
Coming back from Beijing, I find it a relief that Singapore provides us with security and most importantly, fresh air and green trees. Back there, I used to have block nose filled with dust and I always looked up the sky wondering when can I see the white clouds. Walking back home, I get myself choked with gas that are either 1. contributed from leaks by selfish car owners or some machines doing some renovations surfacing the ground/repairing. I find it hard to breathe and even harder to not smell it at all.

I often go home at around 6pm/7pm too latest. If I ever get home at around 8pm, the whole neighborhood will be in pitch darkness and I would have to navigate home with my iPhone torch light! Going up the lift can be scary at times, where each floor's light is by sensor. Which means I have to step violently or clap hard for the lights to be on.

Sooo scary because at times you won't know if a random guy will just run to you in the lift to rob you. At times when I am afraid, I think about the tenant's cat, named pro I am meeting soon. And then, I am not afraid anymore!

But most importantly I have to thank my boyfriend for specially travel miles away just to visit me, fetching me to work everyday while waiting at Starbucks doing his work :') During work, I do secretly planned some of the places I would like to visit and it requires train to reach there! We got our train tickets at $1 each, which probably means no sitting/hard sitting area with absolutely NO air-conditioned. It gets stuffy sometimes but thank god we travelled in the night.

If you're looking for an adventure, I could recommend you this route.
北京>十度>涞源 (take around 2 days)

Both the places I mentioned are in the vicinity of Beijing however, the country is tooooo huge. We are not blessed with driving license or luxury of having a car so we took a public transport to all the places.

Shidu Park
China Shidu Scenic Area is a national AAAA scenic spots and China National Geological Park. Shidu, literally the "Tenth Crossing", is located in the valley of the meandering Juma River and so named because accessing the town is said to require crossing the river ten times. Shidu is known for the surrounding karst landscape, the largest in northern China, that is created by the Juma River cutting through the Taihang Mountain. And this place is amazing because they are like 10 sceneric spots and attractions you can visit??

You could take bus 836 from 天桥,

The Bus 836 for Shidu runs hourly from 6:00 to 17:00. The Bus 836 from Shidu back to Beijing: runs hourly from 7:00am to 17:00. The whole bus drive takes over 2 hours.

The Bus 836 Stop is located on Beiwei Road ( Beiwei Lu ) 北纬路. Beiwei Road is an east – west street with its east end starting from Tianqiao South Avenue (天桥南大街), opposite Beijing Museum of Natural History. Walking about 400m to the west direction from the east end of Beiwei Road, you will find the Bus Stop with iron railings for the Bus 836 - text and photo credits from tour Beijing

Yes, so after playing and all is time for you to take the train to Laiyuan!!

The reason why we wanted to head to Laiyuan was simple.
BECAUSE I WAN TO VISIT 白石山 (Laiyuan Baishishan National Geopark)!!!!!!!

Mount Baishishan has been praised as “the most beautiful mountain in the North.”
The mountain has more than 100 peaks, with the main peak rising to a height of more than 2,096 meters. Mount Baishishan is similar in form to Anhui’s famous Mount Huangshan, and it is sometimes known as “the little Huangshan.” Wah super chio I tell you.

You get to walk the glass platform, see the clouds and the temperature is just so awesome.

You feel like you're in heaven once you are on top. Purchase your admission tickets for RM150 ($30) abit pricely but student have their half price discounts, RMB60 and then another RMB10 to take the bus to bring you all the way to the top of the mountains. Tourists are only given two options

One is to take bus which cost cheaper, second is to take the cablecar which is another....RMB150. Heartpain. No way I'm gonna spend twice the amount!!! Then when I reach to the top, I am greeted by this sight!! So beautiful. No words can express such happiness.

Anyway back in Shidu, we did a small mini traditional costume photoshoot. I had THIS in mind if my boyfriend ever to come to Beijing. Love how he is wearing the emperor costume and I am wearing the empress one!! Oh yes, you travel to Baishishan park by either taxi or public bus. We choose taxi because of comfort and also, we are rushing time to catch train back to Beijing.

Therefore, we took a taxi! Cost around 90RMB if I'm not wrong. woohoo side track abit, I love eating their mutton with spices. Taste so delicious.

By around 1pm to 2pm, the clouds start to become misty.
sad that all the photos become so misy and all sian
Continuing my adventure!
#Throwback
Beautiful shidu

YAWW this is me in gif on top of the mountain. Honestly, I'm still missing Beijing from all the adventures, the food specially. Like how I can just go and eat hotpot anytime I wish,  or walk to nearby restaurant without feeling sorry to my wallet.
Miss you Beijing, and I will be back for more adventure to Tibet? (hopeful), Xian and many more.
Catch me more adventures at
