Salted egg prawns

Finally took some time off to update my blog. This week was quite fruitful because i finally found a part time job for this holiday! Yay/nay. Besides getting a flexible job, work 1-2hours I also get to choose the location I want. This job really mean quite abit to me because I just hope to commit some days so that I can spend more time with my love ones.

Just last week end, dear bought groupon deals for house of seafood, $10 for 300g of crabs (worth $15) for various cooking style eg salted egg crab/pepper crab/steam crab/butter crab/chili crab. There's total of 9 flavours to choose from. Their salted egg crab tasted really really good! Practically licking the juice from the crab and the sauce off my fingers. Was inspired and tempted to try my own salted egg version! Asked my mom for help and she helped me get some salted eggs from fairprice, bought some prawns while the rest of the ingredients already in fridge. Asked my dear boyfriend eagerly to tried out cooking salted egg prawns with me and he agreed as well! We are both fans of good salted egg dishes and it's pretty easy to make actually.

Haha, I really didn't take as many wonderful shots as those food blogs. All the pictures taken is using my camera phone. So here it goes, the ultimated yummeh salted egg recipe!

Salted egg prawns

8 - 10 large shrimps, shelled (may use frozen shelled prawns)
4 pieces of salted egg yolk, cooked and chopped
2 stalks of curry leaf (remove stem, use only the leaves)
2 tablespoons of butter
1 chili for cutting

Mix the salted egg yolk with water to give a mash feeling. The pre-preparation was done in a super tedious way T.T
Mix well. (if you wondering what's the white thing, is the egg white)
Prawns for cooking! Bought 12 prawns for $3.25 from the supermarket with dear boyfriend.
This part of stir frying i really couldn't do without the help of my boyfriend. I was really afraid that the oil might squirt into my hand and scald it. Thank god for my brave commando boyfriend who stir fry this for me!! :) :)
Tadaaaaaaaaaaah!!! Ate the prawns in less than 10minutes and gave some to my family and Brian's granny. Super heartwarming feeling when they said our dish turns out to be really good!! Anticipate more dishes to cook together in the future haha guys!!!! Later on we decided that it wasn't fulling so the-always-so-sweet dear already had in planned to eat pizza hut. Always full of surprise :)

Groupon deal for pizzahut $20 for 2pax comes with drinks, soup. But honestly the pizza didn't taste nice at all.

Yong tao foo at Tiong Bahru! ^^

This week ends really fast. School is starting real soon.. :(
