Beijing Travel Guide: Pinggu Glass Platform

Not for people with faint heart and afraid of heights

This is one place I really enjoyed myself in Beijing, except for the really long bus rides from the city to countryside, Pinggu. Apparently the district is really proud of their own cultivation of peach! And I have seen one or two plantation growing just purely peaches. Direction to head there: You can take the subway to Feng Bo Station (Subway station 15 line) then take the bus 918 then switch to their local bus 25 to the location, the name is call 平谷桃花海-云山玻璃桥道 The park opens till 5pm daily because it will definitely get really dark near the mountain side.

Entire bus ride's duration will last around 3 hour- 4 hour depending on the traffic and the duration of the bus. But its definitely worth it for the really beautiful scenery.
Just by walking down the stairs makes my leg tremble. HAHAHA I swear the cold air blowing and I was so nervous. Don't even want to come down..
The area host really beautiful scenery and mountains. There's a theme park with different roller coasters, water ride, a flying swing ride. Apparently it was Wednesday and it's Dragon Boat Festival in China! The entire highway to the place was filled with stationary cars and tourists. Buses were jam packed and had to honk... and can you believe every 10 minutes the bus move a little bit by bit. So being anxious tourist, I hop down immediately and begun to walk there.

IT WAS SUCH A STEAL. Found a really gorgeous lake, walking alongside countryside houses, resorts and I have seen sooooo many cow/animal dung on the floor :(
SUPER BIG CHOW CHOWWWWWWW. As big as a bear??!
Walking  and passing by many cars waiting to drive in.
Beautiful lake! Thankfully only a few people found this place and took photo with it, else it would be so crowded with tourists and the locals.
Paid entrance ticket of 60RMB and went up cable car! This place by far is the most expensive I have travelled. Like the cable car cost RMB100 one way excluding the entrance ticket and when I get up to glass platform, I have to pay again. But for the view is so worth it!!

This is the part where I get a little bit shaky, I swear it is not for the faint heart or if you are afraid of heights! Every steps is really steep and sometimes when people come down the stairs, it vibrates and shakes. Can you imagine being so high up and the stairs are shaking?!?! Felt really not safe all the time and thankfully they are kind people everywhere but there are also rude people trying to block way.
Like when I saw this even before coming, I knew I had to come here!!!!!! Entrance ticket (20RMB) You can literally see down and it's really not as scary as you think after you conquered the climbing part of reaching the peak of  TianYun Mountain. All the visitors have to wear a covered cloth for the shoes in case there are any sharp edges that might scratch the glass.
So manyyyyy tourists and there's this woman wearing abit revealing HHAAHAHAHA
Tried to do a split (failed miserably i know) so many people trying to take all kinds of pictures.
The amusement park!
Quite fulfilling trip but going back home was difficult. Because the bus leaves at 6.20pm and I had to take a taxi back. Thankfully there's a group of Beijing students that are heading back and we shared a cab back. The woman was demanding like 100rmb and I swear she purposely drive slowly so that we'll miss our bus back.... but ohwell. It was really a great experience and I hope to explore more of such places. Remember to bring more water, food and your 高德地图 with you whenever you go such places! :)
